ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN

FlashCut CNC, an established, growth oriented, world leader in PC Based CNC controls and robotics is currently looking to hire a motivated, energetic technology oriented person to be part of  FlashCut CNC’s team in our Deerfield, IL office.

Responsibilities include:

  • Electronics assembly of control systems.
  • Machine assembly
  • Manufacturing documentation
  • Shipping and receiving
  • CNC machine operation
  • Provide assistance to engineers for testing of new features
  • Provide technical support to customers

 

The candidate must have:

  • Experience in electronics assembly
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask as a team member in a fast paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Machine shop, CAD/CAM, CNC or automation knowledge is a plus, but not required
  • Applicants must be physically able to bend, stoop, climb, reach, lift, and stand/walk on concrete floors

SOFTWARE-FIRMWARE ENGINEER

FlashCut CNC, an established, growth oriented, world leader in PC Based CNC controls and robotics is currently looking to hire a motivated, energetic Software-Firmware Engineer to be part of  FlashCut CNC’s team of engineers in the development of our automation product line in our Deerfield, IL office. Candidates should be a team player, with a strong knowledge and interest in motion control and innovation.

Responsibilities include:

  • Firmware development for the embedded processors of our motion control products.
  • System design on the microprocessor and communications level.
  • Integration of our motion control product line.
  • Documenting firmware designs and configurations.
  • Collaborating with electronic, software and mechanical engineers in the development of new products.
  • Providing pre-sales and post-sales engineering support when necessary.
  • Quality testing of new features as they are developed.

The Candidate must have:

  • A BS or MS in Electrical Engineering or Software Engineering.
  • 2-10 years experience and proficiency in:
    • Embedded firmware development for 8, 16, and 32 bit processors
    • CPLD or FPGA programming
    • C, C++ and assembly language programming
    • Communications protocols - USB, RS232, RS485, Ethernet, ModBus, CAN
    • Use of IDE and debugging tools
    • Test equipment such as logic analyzers and oscilloscopes
  • Experience in motion control programming.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent problem solving skills.
  • Ability to multitask as a team member in a fast paced environment.
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • Machine shop, CAD/CAM, CNC or automation knowledge is a plus, but not required

SALES ENGINEER

FlashCut CNC is currently looking to hire a highly motivated, energetic, career driven individual to be responsible for growing the sales of our machine and automation product line based out of our Deerfield, IL headquarters. We are an established, growth oriented, world leader in PC-Based CNC controls and robotics and we are currently looking for the right person to catalyze our growth. Candidates should be a team player, experienced in sales with a strong knowledge and interest in technology and innovation.

As a Sales Engineer, you will:

  • Aggressively prospect and develop new accounts including corporations, universities, OEMs and distributors.
  • Handle customer inquiries and generate sales quotes.
  • Routinely call on an established customer base, managing established business as well as selling new product sets into these established accounts.
  • Develop and execute progressive sales strategies.
  • Work with internal FlashCut departments to help assure high levels of customer satisfaction on sales and support issues.
  • Contribute to new product planning and improvements to existing products to assure future product sales.

The Candidate must have:

  • BS or BA required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Superior negotiation, decision making and organizational skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask as a team member in a fast paced environment.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • Engineering, machine shop, CAD/CAM or CNC knowledge is a plus, but not required
