US Navy Utilizes Flashcut Technology for Naval Research

The world-renowned Naval Research Facility in San Diego chose the Flashcut CNC 8300 machine for prototyping of many research projects. They chose the 8300 for its large, but manageable size and for its ability to cut parts out of many different materials including metal and plastic very quickly and with high precision.

The naval researchers realize that when doing high tech research, there is no reason to use rapid-prototyping machines that greatly limit your material choices when you can use CNC technology to create precision parts from the exact material needed in a similar amount of time.
