CAD/CAMCompany Overview
We were first incorporated in 1993 in Silicon Valley, CA as a design and manufacturing company by two Stanford University grads - Rick Pfaff, who studied manufacturing systems, and Ron Worth, PhD, who did innovative research in rapid prototyping. Our purpose was to design and develop innovative products, which resulted in several widely distributed, patented products. During the development of these products, we were often frustrated with the expense and time required to prototype parts. We felt there must be an easy to use and cost effective alternative to expensive CNC machine tools. This led to a two year R&D effort to create the original Windows-based, hands on, inexpensive control system, now known as FlashCut CNC.
Since then, we have sold thousands of CNC machines, retrofits and control systems worldwide. With our new headquarters in the Chicago area and a full staff of engineers, we continuously improve our product line as technology moves forward. Our customers range from Fortune 500 corporations to small companies to top universities and high schools throughout the world. OEM's also rely on FlashCut's partnership to integrate custom software and controls with their own innovative hardware. Helping our customers succeed is our greatest achievement.
