FLASHCUT CNC – KEY PARTNER TO MARTA ATLANTA STREETCAR PROJECT

The City of Atlanta’s $59 million MARTA Streetcar Project chooses FlashCut CNC’s Platinum Controllers as an integral part of the Railway Wheel Truing and Wheel Profiling System.

When wheel defects are found, streetcar wheels must be “trued”.  This process corrects for flat spots, tread thermal cracking, flange defects, and shelling or flaking of the wheel tread.  FlashCut CNC Platinum Controllers efficiently drive the system to ensure quality, reliability and safety of these project-critical components.

MARTA’s extensive transportation project creates a 2.7 mile transit loop with major stops throughout downtown Atlanta.  FlashCut CNC is excited to be part of this critical infrastructure expansion.
